Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What’s Included?
A. The event is All INCLUSIVE for the 7 Days of the event. This includes Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Late Night Snacks, Non-Alcoholic & Alcoholic Beverages, Daily Yoga Classes, and the use of Dommetrips Dungeon Equipment.
Q. What is not included?
A. Not Included – TRANSPORTATION If you are flying into Cozumel Airport, you will need to purchase a shuttle ticket from the desk when you exit customs. It’s about a 10 minute ride to the hotel from there. If you are flying into Cancun, you will need to book the shuttle to Playa Del Carmen. You can do this in advance online or when you exit customs. Here some options:
- Cancun Shuttle: Offers safe, economical, and reliable transfers to Playa del Carmen, available 24/7. (LINK)
- Playa del Carmen Shuttle: Provides private and shared shuttle services from Cancun Airport to Playa del Carmen. (LINK)
- Happy Shuttle Cancun: Claims to be the cheapest option for private transfers from Cancun Airport to Playa del Carmen. (LINK)
From there, you will need to buy a ticket for 1 of 2 Ferry companies to take you to Cozumel
ultramarferry (LINK) or winjet (LINK)
When you dock at the pier, there is a taxi stand where you can easily find a taxi that can take you to the hotel in just 5 minutes.
B. Not Included – Travel Insurance: Since there are no refunds for any reason, and we have no way of recovering money from a hotel in a foreign country we would highly suggest you purchase travel insurance. Remember, although it’s still usually fabulous weather it’s is actually officially hurricane season -cover yourself for the cost of your flights and your stay in case you get stranded at home, this link gives all types of coverage that can help: https://www.travelexinsurance.com/index.aspx?location=09-1277Christy&go=bp&navigation=off
The link listed above has to be purchased within 15 days of your first payment to be valid and it’s only for US residents. There are plenty of other offerings for non-US residents online.
You can also check with your credit card company to see if they have travel insurance coverage, and you can check with the airline you choose to see what types of coverage they offer.
No matter what, please protect your trip.
TravelEx Insurance has provided three .pdf files with additional information, please click these links to learn more:
B. Not Included – Tips for the Staff– We provide an envelope in your welcome bag and we will collect it at the end of the week to distribute amongst all the staff at the hotel who work so hard to give us exceptional service. How much should I tip? We suggest $10 per person per day, which is a steal considering how hard they all work.

July 1st

- For any cancellations, this is the last day to change your mind, or the room is gone.
Q. If I can’t Go, Can I Sell My Room or Transfer it To Someone Else? Under no circumstances are you to sell your trip to someone who has not been approved by Dommetrips to attend. They will be denied entry. We do this for the protection and enjoyment of all approved attendees of the event. Additionally, we post our room availability and plan our budget based on the folks who have already booked. Everyone is informed of the no-transfer policy at the time of their first payment, so again… buy trip insurance.
Q. How much cash will I need?
A. You will need money for taxis and tips. If you’re flying into Cancun you will need money to pay for the shuttle, the ferry, and the taxi to the hotel. If you are flying into Cozumel you will need money for the airport shuttle to the hotel and tips.
B. Tips for the staff are not included. We will give you an envelope in your welcome bag to be collected and distributed to ALL the hotel staff at the end of the week. Our recommendation is $10 US per guest per day, so if you’re a couple staying for 7 days, the suggestion is $140 for the week. The staff does a lot to give us exceptional service so please help us to take care of them. If you plan to purchase latex from one of our vendors, you can use cash or card. THERE IS NOT AN ATM AT THE HOTEL. Please Plan accordingly.
Q. Should I convert money into Pesos?
A. Sure – if you want to! While most places accept US currency, we have found that the pricing for everything tends to be a little better if you get it in Pesos. You can easily exchange money at any international airport and there are currency exchange places in both airports upon arrival.
Q. Where is the actual address and name of the resort/hotel?
A. The name of the hotel has been sent to all attendees in email form. This Hotel is normally not an adults only type of place. We negotiated those terms specifically for our event. They have asked us not to put their name in in any social media associated with the event. Please be respectful of that request. The hotel has 24 hour front desk staff, security staff, and maintenance staff. There are 2 pools, hot tub, spa, 2 bars, and 1 restaurant.
Q. Is it just kinky people at the resort when we are there?
A. Yes only kinky folk… BUT the kinky stuff is for the 7 days of the event ONLY. Do not mess up our ability to return to this location by stepping outside this rule. If you are booked extra days, do not arrive in fetish gear. Do not discuss kinky stuff in front of vanilla guests if you are staying additional days.
Q. I am arriving early/ staying after the event – can I still be kinky?
A. NO NO NO. NO NO… This part is VERY IMPORTANT– If you have booked additional days for this event, the hotel is not normally adults only for those days. You need to respect the other hotel guests and the wishes of the staff by dressing in regular clothing and acting like you would at any regular hotel, even if you normally wear fetish or fetish-style clothing 24/7, please keep it toned down. While we don’t want to cramp your freedom of expression, we would like to be able to return to the hotel, so please don’t ruin it for everyone else by wearing something or doing something offensive.
Q. Are my meals & drinks included in the extra days I booked?
A. NO – Those days cover your hotel stay only. You can charge your meals, beverages and tips to your room when you provide a credit card at check in. You can also take a short taxi ride into downtown Cozumel and check out the local flavors there.
Q. What’s the weather likely to be like at that time of year?
A. In October the weather in Cozumel is typically in the mid 80’s to low 90’s and humid, please keep this in mind, and pack accordingly.
Q. Photography and My Privacy
A. We have photographers on staff who will happily take your photo, but if you don’t want to be in pictures posted on our site or in future advertising, just let us know your preferences when you complete your photo permission form at check-in. We will give you a rubber black bracelet to wear to indicate to the photographers that you do not want to be in posted photos if that is your choice. We also have a Dropbox folder we send to all Dommetrips attendees from the trip, so you can enjoy photos of the event. We only ask that you do not post any photo without the permission of everyone in that photo. Additionally, please do not take photos with your phone or camera without the permission of everyone in the picture. We respect your privacy, and we want everyone to be able to relax at the event without the fear of their image being used without their consent. If you feel like anyone is violating this policy, please let one of the Dommetrips staff know and we will take care of it for you.
Q. What should I bring with me?
A. We suggest you pack vanilla clothes for extra days and travel outside the hotel, water shoes, bug spray (latex friendly), sunscreen, any medications you require, extra beach towel, a plastic or metal cup with lid for the pool, snorkel or dive gear if you want to bring your own – then once all the boring stuff is packed you can start to see how much latex will fit into your carry-on luggage (to keep the weight in your main case down-be careful with this if you are flying with Spirit) and then, using the suggested daily themes if you fancy it, you can start to pack any kinky toys and clothing you might need/want. Do remember to check the luggage weight limits for the airline you are flying with – and note that if you are getting the little shuttle plane from the mainland to Cozumel rather than the ferry your luggage allowance is less than the usual weights
Q. Anything else?
A. Take a picture of your Passport with your phone and message or email it to yourself. You can also make a photocopy to bring with you. It makes it a lot easier if you lose it for any reason. Double-check your passport to make sure it’s not about to expire!
B. We suggest putting a piece of paper in each item of luggage with your contact info. If the baggage claim ticket gets removed or damaged in transit, this is the best way for the airline to get your bag back to you.
C. I have not had a problem bringing toys into Mexico. If they do search your bags, they are usually looking for weapons, drugs, or merchandise. Don’t pack anything that could be considered a weapon (this includes toy guns) and no police-style metal handcuffs. Here’s a list that might help. (LINK) I suggest removing any price tags from items in your bags, and if you are bringing more than one of any item, don’t pack them right beside each other.
D. For Your Return Journey. If you will be going through customs in the US, this is useful to have on your phone. The Mobile Passport App mobilepassport.us this a great one to have! It takes no time to add it to your phone, simply have your passport handy. It will help you to skip the long line back into the US and you don’t have to register for Global Entry! The following airports have the Mobile Passport App in their customs areas in the US: Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Fort Lauderdale, Houston, Houston Hobby, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, Newark, New York, Orlando, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Raleigh/Durham, San Diego, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Jose, Seattle, Tampa, Washington/ Dulles, and West Palm.
Q. What’s Provided for ‘Kinky Fun’?
A. There will be a canopy tent provided Oceanside with play equipment to include multiple crosses, spanking benches, a suspension rig, and tie-down chair for everyone’s general non-extreme play for use, all day and night, rain or shine. There will also be an indoor playroom with a latex-covered King bed with tie-down points for more extreme play. There is a schedule of day and nighttime events so you can plan your outfits and debauchery accordingly.
Q. Do I need to bring anything to join in any of the kinky events at the resort during the week?
A. Bring any BDSMs toys you might need for play in the dungeon/s. You may wish to join in the Kinky Karaoke/Lip Sync – Make sure to bring your song selection on a memory stick, or send us a link in advance. Their sound system does not link up via bluetooth and if you want to participate in the Kinky Kristmas Gift Exchange make sure to bring something from your toy bag or fetish wardrobe you no longer use or bring something new. It’s up to you. Don’t forget a gift bag or wrapping paper.
Q. Will there be anywhere to do kinky shopping?
A. Yes –Renee Massoomian from Baby Loves Latex will have men’s and women’s latex fashions in all shapes and sizes, but if you’d like her to bring something specific in your size you can email her in advance renee@reneemassoomian.com so she can bring items in your size for you to try on.
Q. Can I drink the water?
A. The resort provides bottled water for the 7 days of the event and there are always water dispensers on each floor for you to refill your water whenever you like. We suggest bringing a cup you like. We do not advise drinking from the tap in your room, but brushing your teeth is ok.
Q. Is there Wi-Fi?
A. There is free Wi-Fi provided at the hotel and they will give you the passcode at check in.
Q. Do I have a refrigerator in my room?
A. All the rooms have mini refrigerators.
